High Coast distillery, founded in 2010 in Västernorrland, Sweden, is located near the Ångermanälven river. Initially named Box Destilleri, it rebranded in 2018. Using fresh Swedish barley, their whiskey is made in small batches and distilled twice in traditional pot stills. The spirit is filled into charred oak casks, mainly ex-bourbon, and matured in an underground, moisture-controlled facility. Their climate-advantaged location ensures rapid maturation, resulting in a unique intensity and character in their spirits.
