Laphroaig Distillery was founded in 1815 by Donald and Alexander Johnston on the Isle of Islay, Scotland. Laphroaig is known for its peaty and smoky flavored single malt Scotch whisky. The whiskey-making process at Laphroaig includes the use of copper pot stills, malted barley, and aging in ex-bourbon barrels.
