Bladnoch

Bladnoch Distillery was founded in 1817 in Bladnoch, Scotland. It was founded by John and Thomas McClelland. The current owner is Australian entrepreneur David Prior. Bladnoch is one of the oldest distilleries in Scotland, known for its Lowland style whisky. They use traditional copper pot stills and primarily malted barley. They age their whisky in a variety of oak casks. Bladnoch was mothballed in 1993 but was rescued and reopened in 2000 by Raymond Armstrong.
