Strathisla Distillery was founded in 1786 in Keith, Scotland by George Taylor and Alexander Milne. It is now owned by Chivas Brothers, a subsidiary of Pernod Ricard. Strathisla Distillery is one of the oldest distilleries in Scotland and is known for its picturesque setting on the banks of the River Isla. They use traditional copper pot stills, malted barley, and a mixture of oak casks for maturation. An interesting fact is that Strathisla's iconic pagoda-style chimney is one of the most photographed in Scotland.
